Three siblings, two siblings against one, all executors of the will with fives issues to be resolved. Mediation was suggested by friends but none of the siblings wanted to pay £10,000+. One sibling contacted Slater Heelis regarding resolution, in particular property, and was referred internally to Daniel Stern, Head of Property Litigation - Dispute Resolution. He dealt with the solicitors representing the other two siblings and wrote the settlement agreement which the other two siblings signed. Family relations have 'normalised'. Friends who have been through complicated divorces insisted I get a lawyer, or end up with nothing, are delighted with the outcome. Needless to say I am glad Daniel was my solicitor as he absolutely resolved the conflict.

I cannot thank Anthony Le enough! I had a matter where I had a dispute with my previous solicitors (over costs....) and they came up with a Court judgement against me, served me a statutory demand, and was going for bankruptcy petition against me. I contacted Slater Heelis and Anthony Le took on the matter. He thoroughly went through the whole case pointing out things that were not right in the way the said judgment was obtained in the first place, and the way the statutory demand was served, etc. Anthony worked tirelessly day and night in the matter, as I sometimes received emails after the usual work hours. Long story short, we had two hearings. One was only 15 minutes due to the Court not having enough time. The second and final hearing the Judge commended Anthony Le's argument saying it was a very good argument! He also stated that Anthony had given his client (me) a Rolls-Royce Service. The Judge then ordered that the judgment should be set aside, the claim struck out, the bankruptcy petition be dismissed, and Statutory demand set aside. And he ordered the order side to pay 75% of my total cost. What a win!! I cannot thank Anthony Le enough!

Mark explained things in an understandable way, was prompt with his advice and is very approachable. Due to his help, i managed to resolve a high conflict situation with a settlement agreement in a timely manor. I would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Lisa. She took over what had become a difficult and unnecessarily contentious commercial lease dispute after we decided to change solicitors, and the difference in approach was immediately apparent. The other side had adopted an increasingly adversarial approach which, at times, seemed more focused on mud-slinging and applying pressure than finding a sensible resolution. Lisa was excellent at cutting through the noise, keeping the focus firmly on the facts and legal issues that actually mattered, and recalibrating the balance between the parties. She was measured and pragmatic when that was required, but equally prepared to be firm when the circumstances called for it. The matter ultimately settled out of court on terms that I am confident were considerably better than we would have achieved had we continued with our previous representation.

Slater Heelis quoted around £800 for a neighbourhood dispute letter! He claimed they need to charge these sorts of fees to open a case and quipped we're not a forwarding service. The letter was in my grammar! Not exactly nuclear physics for Slater H! Quickly got an SRA solicitor to do the job for £400, in Trafford, expeditiously.
Thank you Daniel Stern and his team for a lengthy complex and stressful issues which required a very professional advice to overcome our position. We highly recommend him to anyone for his dedicated team.
