Dispute Resolution

Probate ... resolving family dispute

Three siblings, two siblings against one, all executors of the will with fives issues to be resolved. Mediation was suggested by friends but none of the siblings wanted to pay £10,000+. One sibling contacted Slater Heelis regarding resolution, in particular property, and was referred internally to Daniel Stern, Head of Property Litigation - Dispute Resolution. He dealt with the solicitors representing the other two siblings and wrote the settlement agreement which the other two siblings signed. Family relations have 'normalised'. Friends who have been through complicated divorces insisted I get a lawyer, or end up with nothing, are delighted with the outcome. Needless to say I am glad Daniel was my solicitor as he absolutely resolved the conflict.

I used Fakhruddin to sort out my mother’s estate and to apply for probate . Fakhruddin was knowledgeable, professional , helpful and approachable. His work to finalise the estate and obtain probate was done quickly and was stress free .

First choice for legal support. Which ever support and advice I have needed over the last 10 years then Slater Heelis has provided the perfect solution. In the most difficult circumstances of divorce, financial settlement and child access Mark Heptinstall guided me through, step by step, calmly and clearly, to reach satisfactory solutions. I even remember the judge commending him on the result he achieved in court in reaching an agreement. I cannot thank Alex Barley enough for his incredible support with the clinical negligence claim following the tragic passing of my wife. My wife was incorrectly administered a Grade 4 (major harm) dose of Alemtuzumab instead of her prescribed medication, and sadly passed away seven months later. Throughout this incredibly painful and complex process, Alex was exceptionally professional, empathetic, and kept me informed every step of the way.
