Service paid for but not provided and zero communication
In August 2020, I was asked to pay for the legal services in the simple matter of extending a head lease and registration of the extended head lease with the Land Registry so that my extended sub-lease could itself be registered with the Land Registry. I paid the fees immediately in August 2020 for the work to be carried out - I believe that the trading name of the firm then was Campions. Some 6 years on and the work hasn't been completed - certainly not registered at the Land Registry. This has caused huge financial problems and immense stress. Despite attempts to contact Betteridge and Sills in Nottingham repeatedly over the last two to three weeks - phone, emails etc, my solicitor and I have been totally ignored. Not even a single acknowledgement. Not sure that there can be extenuating circumstances given 6 years of inactivity - my solicitor evidently should have chased the matter but hasn't either but zero communication is inexcusable.
