Amazing firm, wouldn't hesitate to recommend

I genuinely cannot rate Slater Heelis highly enough and would highly recommend them based on my experience with them. I used Slater Heelis to help with divorce proceeding and the advice they gave and the service provided was second to none. The staff handling my case were caring, understanding, compassionate and extremely professional and approachable. During what was an extremely difficult and harrowing time for me and my children, this made an enormous difference and made what was a very upsetting time that little bit easier. They communicated everything well and always contacted me in person, and their knowledge about proceedings was extensive. I felt heard, supported and in safe hands at all times.

Professional and competent advice

Whilst a service I never particuarly wanted to need, Slater Heelis provided me with professional and competent advice right the way through my divorce proceedings. Kim Aucott and her team listened to my requirements and provided me with various options to progress the matter with a clear explanation of the potential outcomes and how the process would work. They continually communicated when appropriate while bearing in mind the costs expected in their initial estimate. Avoid Avoid Avoid!... yes I googled for the best solicitors I could find after I needed a solicitor i could trust while divorcing my now ex wife! Who comes to my rescue... Aaron Williams, the only person I know that's lies more than my beloved ex... I've had to beg him to reply to emails.. phone calls... whatsapp messages, the man lied to me regarding sending documents to the court... which delayed my life!... yes I then reached out to him one last time copying several of the slaterheelis partners... who comes to my rescue... Mark Heptinstall, Aaron's leader.... as important as you think your life is... never ever think this guy is in your corner!... after admitting there was an internal investigation on Aaron which he clearly told me Aaron was at fault and had not fully given me full important information, and lied about sending the consent order to the court... he was worse to contact, always someone else is more important..because of this key dates were missed..which led to an ugly confrontation with my ex... he then gives me a large bill to pay for ASAP... but no explanation as to what it was for.... only when I confronted him he told me he would do no more work until it was paid...he states i refused to pay, when in actual fact I did not know what I was paying for!...no itemised bill at this point!...(just another lie)... oh, and his fee was over £100 more than Aaron’s, yes he back tracked on the fee, but only after i questioned this. I'm now back on medication for depression, this is nothing to do with my cheating ex that took me for a considerable amount of money... but these two individuals that clearly are the modern day dickturpins.... save yourself the same stress i unfortunately endured and avoid. I've explained to Mark Heptinstall I was to go through the complaints procedure with Slater Heelis then the ombudsman, his reply was i can do as i like...now that comment hurt!!....seems he's a man can clearly sleep well at night.... and to finish the review.... i ended up finishing my case on my own contacting my ex's solicitor... it took one day!... for any other Slaterheelis partners that may care..... I'm happy to forward all emails and messages!

Professional and pleasant to deal with

We chose Slater Heelis on Cross Street, Sale, as they have a physical presence in the office. We found our lawyer Helen Taylor, her secretary Alison Sorton and Executive Lisa Watson to be very professional and efficient, yet friendly and pleasant to deal with. Conveyancing was smooth, orderly, well-managed and they took the stress out of things. Communication was timely and they honoured our preferred method which made matters easier to track. Thank you also to the ladies on reception. The cost of the service compared well to others and was reasonable. We would recommend and will definitely consider using their services again.
