Siils and Betteridge is truly appalling. I was charged with a criminal offence, and Katie Scott was to be my DEFENCE solicitor, employed to DEFEND me. No chance of that. I was asked to provide evidence, which included CCTV, to support my case. It was strong evidence, but Katie Scott, and the barrister employed by her, dismissed it all such that I was left with no defence at all. When I insisted that the evidence be used both of them abandoned me minutes before the Trial was due to start, giving the excuse that they were "professionally embarrassed". This, in plain English, means that they did not like being instructed by a paying client, and decided to walk off in a huff. They showed no professionalism whatsoever. Some while late, I posted a critical online review, but this was swiftly removed, probably because of "professional embarrassment". I hope this review will not be removed, but because Sills and Betteridge are easily "professionally embarrassed", it probably will. My advice is not to use Sills and Betteridge if you do not want to be abandoned at Court, or if you expect to be able to ask your solicitor to use evidence. It "professionally embarrasses" the poor dears.
We are sorry to hear you remain unhappy after following our complaints procedure 2 years ago. We have strict conduct rules that we have to abide by and in some cases, it is necessary to cease acting in order to fulfil our professional obligations. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of legal representation and we are sorry if you feel it felt short on this occasion.

I approach Sills and Betteridge in panic about my charge. They all have been professional but approachable and very very helpful. Katie was always honest and Chris my barrister used best of his knowledge to help me out. Highly recommend and very grateful for the company as well.

She has this great way of being friendly and approachable while remaining completely professional, which immediately put us both at ease. She took the time to explain the 'hows and whys' of our case in plain English, never leaving us in the dark. I have worked with sills and betteridge multiple times and I can't complain been absolutely amazing great service friendly and understanding. Very considerate of situations people are in.
I Have nothing but a double thumbs up for this firm. They stood by me through a living nightmare and I got through it. Not only as support through the actual hearing but as moral support too by sorting a separate room to help with my anxiety, getting special measures put into place and speaking on my behalf and got the result that was needed in order for me to be able to breathe until the crown court date! This firm of highly professional solicitors is outstanding, and I would like to mention the ones involved in my case. I cannot recommend Conveyancing Team Kimberley Rose highly enough. I was dealing with the sale of my late mum’s house while living overseas, which added an extra layer of stress and anxiety to an already difficult process. From start to finish, the team were professional, patient, responsive and genuinely caring. One thing that meant a great deal to me was that whenever I called, I was always put through to someone who could help. This was always the same person in my case, so it was incredibly comforting to know that there was someone available to listen, explain what was happening and help calm me down when I inevitably had one of my many panic calls! Superb conveyancing solicitors. As an estate agent for over 15 years I’ve encountered many firms. Having used Sills personally to complete a lease extension for an apartment, sell two properties and buy another they have been nothing but exemplary in their levels of service, communication and efficiency. Someone was always available to discuss my needs, offer great advice and keep me updated throughout every transaction. Team Amy and Team Kim were equally excellent with special mentions not only to the team leaders but Lucy, Beth and Uros, who were constantly on the case, knowledgeable and approachable at every point.
