I would not be able to pick fault with a single thing about Sills & Betteridge even if I tried. They made the whole process incredibly easy. I was worried about solicitors due to stories from friends about the hold-ups and struggles but none of that is present here. Quick replies and great communication mean we have got the keys to our first house incredibly fast.

I used Sills and Betteridge both for the sale of my property and for the one I was purchasing. At each stage from quoting for the work through to completion, the team I was assigned (KIm's team) gave me accurate information, including costings and provided regular updates and answered my queries speedily at each point. My main contact person (Lucy), rang me with queries as well as answering her phone when I made them. I found this human contact hugely reassuring. The team were thorough in investigating a complex purchase which i was also glad to see. Likewise, with my sale, they responded speedily to all queries from my buyers. In summary, the team I was given were efficient, patient and professional on my behalf.

I would highly recommend Sills & Betteridge. I recently dealt with Team Amy while purchasing two properties at the same time and I honestly couldn’t have asked for better service. I had already instructed another firm for one of the purchases before I came across Sills & Betteridge, so I was dealing with both firms at the same time. The difference was very noticeable. The quote was very reasonable, but what really impressed me was how quick, efficient and helpful Team Amy were throughout the whole process. They always responded so quickly to any questions I had and kept everything moving, which made the whole experience much easier. A special mention to Uros and Eve as well, who were both brilliant. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, professional and really helpful. I’m genuinely very pleased with the service I received from Sills & Betteridge and would definitely recommend them. I have dealt with Sills & Betteridge Lincoln with conveyancing 3 times now and been both on the selling and buying end, and have to say their knowledge, efficiency, attention to detail and effectiveness are second to none. Even when dealing with difference circumstances (eg. putting property into a trust), they surpassed 2 other reputable solicitors contacted for quotes in their understanding (and the only ones to actually give us correct information!) Super quick to answer any emails, always same day (even out of hours) and always answer the phone and their wise advice has undoubtedly saved us a lot of money over the years. Centrally located office with plenty of customer parking which is also appreciated. Special shout out to Ellie Kilshaw and Ed Sharpe who have consistently gone above and beyond to fight our corner and deliver positive outcomes every time. Thank you both so much for all your help!
I was a little apprehensive when appointing a new solicitor for the purchase of our new home, but had no reason to worry. Joanne and her assistant Angela were absolutely brilliant from the moment go. They knew we wanted a quick completion and did everything in their power to do this for us without compromising on their duty to us. I genuinely cannot thank Claire enough. I found myself facing what was, without question, the most challenging and heartbreaking period of my life. I felt as though the odds were stacked against me, through circumstances I firmly believe were no fault of my own, but rather the result of someone else’s determination to cause hurt and maintain control. Throughout it all, my only aim was to protect my children, do what was right and come out the other side without causing the same pain and damage that had been inflicted upon me. Claire was absolutely incredible. She believed in me when I felt the world was against me. She supported me, fought my corner and, perhaps most importantly, never sugar-coated anything. She didn’t always tell me what I wanted to hear, but she told me what I needed to hear. Sometimes those truths were difficult to accept, but they were necessary. Claire was honest, realistic and straightforward throughout, even when the answers weren’t the ones I’d hoped for. That honesty, professionalism and unwavering support meant more to me than she will probably ever realise. Ultimately, my children and I achieved everything we needed, without resorting to the behaviour or tactics that had caused us so much hurt in the first place. We got there by doing things properly, and Claire was instrumental in making that happen. I sincerely hope I never find myself needing legal support through anything like this again. But if I do, I know exactly whose door I’ll be knocking on. And if you’re reading this because you’re facing what feels like an impossible situation, please don’t lose hope. I cannot recommend Claire highly enough. Thank you, Claire. I used sills and betteridge to help in a family court case to regain access to my son which was successful I can't thank lisa Churchill and her team (especially sarah) for there help, to me it felt like they saved my life with what they achieved again a big thankyou from me and marcus ,if I ever need help again in the future they are the only people I would use
Very efficient
Do not use this firm for anything relating to child proceedings. I used this firm for legal action regarding custody of my son. Over 2 years it went on for. Being charged through the nose for shoddy half done work. They completely misinformed me of my rights and what I could have challenged in the courts. They rinsed me of £15,000 with absolutely nothing to show for it in the end. It wasn't until I took on a barrister in the end to which she notified me it was the poorest work she had seen in 30 years of being a barrister specialising in family courts. By this time the damage had been done. The forms and paperwork filled out were incorrect with the wrong names and dates of birth. The work they provided was nothing short of complete incompetence and shoddy. When you complain they don't want to know and refuse to acknowledge your complaint. 2 years on I'm still fighting through the legal ombudsman as told to by my barrister. There is a lot more I could write but what's the point. They've ruined my life and taken no accountability for it. They would turn up 40 minutes late to court and still charge you for it. Shocking. Incompetent. Shoddy unbothered solicitors. Avoid if you want any chance of winning a custody battle.
