Dispute Resolution

Probate ... resolving family dispute

Three siblings, two siblings against one, all executors of the will with fives issues to be resolved. Mediation was suggested by friends but none of the siblings wanted to pay £10,000+. One sibling contacted Slater Heelis regarding resolution, in particular property, and was referred internally to Daniel Stern, Head of Property Litigation - Dispute Resolution. He dealt with the solicitors representing the other two siblings and wrote the settlement agreement which the other two siblings signed. Family relations have 'normalised'. Friends who have been through complicated divorces insisted I get a lawyer, or end up with nothing, are delighted with the outcome. Needless to say I am glad Daniel was my solicitor as he absolutely resolved the conflict.

I used Fakhruddin to sort out my mother’s estate and to apply for probate . Fakhruddin was knowledgeable, professional , helpful and approachable. His work to finalise the estate and obtain probate was done quickly and was stress free .

First choice for legal support. Which ever support and advice I have needed over the last 10 years then Slater Heelis has provided the perfect solution. In the most difficult circumstances of divorce, financial settlement and child access Mark Heptinstall guided me through, step by step, calmly and clearly, to reach satisfactory solutions. I even remember the judge commending him on the result he achieved in court in reaching an agreement. For numerous conveyancing requirements the team have always been extremely efficient and thorough. Daniel Henderson is spot on every time. Quick and easy Will preparation see Chris Partington. Excellent Service from Start to Finish

I would highly recommend Richard and his team for the way they handled my personal injury claim following my accident in July 2022. The claim was unfortunately dragged out by the other side for a considerable amount of time, which was frustrating, but Richard remained professional and supportive throughout. He kept me informed at every stage, explained everything clearly and was always available whenever I had questions or needed advice. Over the four years that the claim took to reach its conclusion, I always felt that Richard was working hard on my behalf and had my best interests at heart. He dealt with the legal side of things professionally and made sure I understood what was happening throughout the process. In the end, Richard achieved a result that I was very happy with, and I am extremely grateful for all the work he put into my case. A superb solicitor - I cannot recommend her too highly

Rachel was excellent from the very word go: returning my Friday afternoon initial phone call on Saturday Morning! Not many solicitors do that. And then at each and every stage, her advice was clear, helpful and accurate. It was so good having her on board, especially as she had had some experience of dealing with my organization and knew a little of how their processes work. She was kindness itself when the day of the Police Interview came round and then taking the initiative in contacting the police subsequently to see where we were up to. And then relaying me the excellent news that the enquiry had been concluded, "no further action". Thank you for her very helpful follow-up letter, outlining possible rights of appeal: always good to know the whole picture, so that nothing can come as a complete surprise. Well, nothing after the bombshell of the initial complaint, I cannot praise Rachel enough: she came to me "highly recommended" and I can only pass on that recommendation to anyone else looking for a first-rate Solicitor. I would give her "six stars" if I could!
