My experience with Sills & Betteridge has been shambolic. The process of selling my property was unnecessarily drawn out with a lack of any urgency or proactive action! The process was ultimately driven by the estate agent, who both chased and informed both sets of solicitors daily, trying to get them to communicate and move the sale forward with ongoing frustration from both myself and the buyer. I did not feel that the solicitors were acting for me, rather that they were an additional hurdle to deal with. Overall a very poor service, unprofessional and therefore I would not recommend.

Faye and Fiona were both amazing throughout the conveyancing process, when helping with the purchase of my first home. They were always happy to answer any questions that I had, and made the entire process seamless and stress-free, taking care of everything whilst keeping me fully informed every step of the way. We were honestly dreading moving house after hearing so many horror stories about conveyancers, but our experience was completely the opposite. Talisa and Rachel were absolutely fantastic from start to finish and went above and beyond for us throughout the entire process. Our sale and purchase started in October 2025 and finally completed in July 2026, so it was a long and, at times, incredibly complicated process. There were a number of issues along the way, particularly with our onward purchase, but Talisa and Rachel were always on hand, incredibly proactive and genuinely went the extra mile to help us get everything over the line (even doing the job of our sellers conveyancers from time to time - who were useless!) They were professional, responsive and reassuring throughout, and most importantly, made us feel like they genuinely cared about getting the best possible outcome for us. Even when things became particularly stressful, we always felt that we were in safe hands. We have already recommended Talisa and Rachel to everyone we know and would 100% use them again in the future. I have dealt with Sills & Betteridge Lincoln with conveyancing 3 times now and been both on the selling and buying end, and have to say their knowledge, efficiency, attention to detail and effectiveness are second to none. Even when dealing with difference circumstances (eg. putting property into a trust), they surpassed 2 other reputable solicitors contacted for quotes in their understanding (and the only ones to actually give us correct information!) Super quick to answer any emails, always same day (even out of hours) and always answer the phone and their wise advice has undoubtedly saved us a lot of money over the years. Centrally located office with plenty of customer parking which is also appreciated. Special shout out to Ellie Kilshaw and Ed Sharpe who have consistently gone above and beyond to fight our corner and deliver positive outcomes every time. Thank you both so much for all your help!
